Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

The newest Guitar Hero game will be on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 2 all this fall. Its seems as though it will copy Rockband and include drums, bass, and vocals. Certainly a nice showdown emerging here.
Most of the juicy details for the fourth Guitar Hero have already slipped -- yes, it's adding drums, bass, and vocals to create a four-piece band; and yes, it'll allow you to create your own songs (sans vocals) and share them with others over the Internet. But now Eurogamer has divulged a few new tidbits, giving us all a better idea of what to expect from the franchise as it ventures into this new direction.
First of all, Guitar Hero 4 has an official title: Guitar Hero World Tour. It'll be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 2 this fall. Similar to Rock Band's, um, World Tour mode, this World Tour will feature a Band Career mode, which can naturally be played with up to four people online. There will also be a Battle of the Bands mode, also playable online against an entire band, making for 4 vs. 4 musical combat.
Eurogamer also reported a couple new details on the drums in the game, which Activision promises will be the "most realistic drum experience ever in a video game" (what say you, Rock Revolution?). Unlike Rock Band's four identical drum pads lined up side-by-side, World Tour's will have three pads and two raised cymbals in addition to the bass pedal. Apparently the pads will also be "velocity sensitive," although exactly what that means wasn't explained. (Perhaps fewer instances of missed notes during fast drum fills, as tends to happen in Rock Band?) Activision also says the drums will be quieter, which should please night owl rockers.

Comments
Game should be the epic, as long as they have ALL the modes available to ALL the systems (mainly Band VS Band for Wii).
