Is there room for both of these FPS games on the PS3 at the same time? Releasing around the same time, in nine months, which game will beat out the other and why? They both share many similarities. Sci-fi relations and destruction on Earth have homes in these titles. Bam...who will win?
Is there room on PS3 for two similar first-party titles? We say "yes," and "please make sure they're better than Haze." Read on for Multiplayer's observations, along with some developer insight on Sony's positioning of both first-person battles against creepy creatures and ... Space Nazis.

Dunno which would get more kudos....
Tough decision but I have a feeling Resistance 2 is going to be bigger. I think Killzone 2 is going to be another Haze or at least a game with graphics as its only advantage but no good gameplay. Its just that they didn't throw us a bone and give us some gameplay vids or anything like that. I hope I'm wrong though. I guess we'll find out this fall.
The ally AI however is still as bland as it was in Killzone, so hopefully they work on that. (I spotted allies standing over areas they could have been covering from, when being shot at, and not returning fire realistically like CoD4. Same exact look of KZ1, so they really need to fix that)
As it stands, their first priority seems to be to get things to look as good as possible, smoothen out the frame rate, work on the world design, and then focus on the tweaks to gameplay elements, since those will probably take the longest amount of time, it'd be easier to get everything else out of the way first.
But the Killzone hype isn't anything now. Now its just a regular game. Nothing iteresting.
Don't count chickens before they hatch, that sort of thing.
At least then I'll finally have a FPS besides Resistance.
Either way, I'm buying both. But I'm betting 5 bucks KZ2 suffers from hype-murder.
