You read correctly, a 6-year old was bought a PSP from a Wal-Mart in Manatee County, Florida, as a late Christmas Present and the 'new' PSP was not as new as they thought... filled with hundreds of pornographic pictures and a pornographic Wallpaper...

I see the perfect reason to complain. Why is it that if I were to go and buy a PSP, it wouldn't have any sort of added gay or otherwise porn on it let alone a Memory Stick!!! I think that's something worth complaining about...

Lol, if these comments were a competition, I think Krunal and Bandito just won.

I think it is gay porn, Look at the image, I don't see a hint of breasts in that image, or it's just too censored.

Or it used to belong to a woman. :3

They offer him a NEW Game, and she wants a New PSP and an apology instead... am I the only one that thinks she's stupid? She'd rather replace the current PSP at no cost, than get a free game?

No I'd want a new one too, god knows who was using that to jack off >.>.

      iLLmatic Apr 14, 09
She didn't get what she paid for. She has a right to exchange it. Accepting a game in this case would do nothing but further the acceptance that we, as consumers, are a commodity, and have no problem with being given a consolation prize as an apology. She should get more than a new PSP.
      • 1
        Krunal Apr 16, 09
If she asked for a PSP AND a Game (as well as an apology), then i'd understanding but as it is, she's getting less than what they're offering...

With some people it's not about the product or getting some sort of reward. Rather, to some people it's all about the moral, and wanting to make whomever did a morally wrong thing . . . get off a high horse by an apology.

Me personally, I don't know what I'd do because IMO I'd want the company to sincerely apologize but just asking for an apology would not produce that (they just don't want the bad PR). I wouldn't care at all about another game . . . I'd want the company to LEARN to straighten up and don't sell used as new, and check used to make sure it's okay for the public. And an extra game wouldn't do that. . . . Maybe suing would be the only way. But I'm not sue-happy.

The consumer should be given a new console and be offered a free game as compensation. I wouldn't want the same system after finding pornography on it. Who knows what it's been through.

      *shudder*

My sentiments exactly, Illmatic and Xentuary. I definitely wouldn't want a product that I thought was new, but found out that it was used to hold pornography and trash like that. Uh, no indeed!

Here's My story about strange pictures that came on my PSP.
When I bought my PSP it was a brand new sealed Daxter bundle with a 1GB memory stick, after using it awhile I accidentally deleted a folder full of my photos that I didn't have backed up, so I ran a recovery program to get the deleted photos back, I got most of them back and then some extra ones that I've never seen before.

They weren't porn but were strange black and white scans of how to make some kind of capsule (they look like water heaters), one pic had the address of a John Golder's Capsule Collector P.O.Box 854 Santa Cruz,CA 95061.

I'm the only person that has touched this card since purchase and I have no idea what the deal is with these photos or why they were on a new sealed Sony Memory stick.

Good ol' Walmart. Repackaging used merchandise and selling it as new.
    • 4
      Livewire_19 Apr 15, 09
That's probably what happened considering it came from Walmart, I always see stuff at Walmart that's in clam shell packaging that someone cut to shreds to get open then wrapped many times over in packing tape, then Walmart puts it back on the shelf to sell as new.
      It's just disgusting.

And wasn't the Madden case with a blank CD that said Redneck Sh** also sold at a Walmart?

      • is that legal? coz i never bought used things & this has never happened to me as well

        ChozenMaster Apr 17, 09
I work at Sam's Club and whether or not it's legal, it happens. Whenever I get something that's returned, I atleast see if it can get marked down by a manager(which won't do it *cheap asses*) or our claims department because no way in hell am I going to sell something used as new. That's just not good member service.

        Krunal Apr 16, 09
I hope you don't mean that in the sense that you'd like to expose them to yourself... because that's considered paedophilia...

Yes, I know that's not what you meant, but I had to take the cheap shot...

yeah...7 years older...no being serious as well.

It is quite natural for a kid between 11-14 to find out what their "things" do and it's quite natural for them to explore (especially on the net) I still remember my dad telling me and my cousin the URL to a porn site when I was 13 and my cousin was 11

    iLLmatic Apr 16, 09
That's anywhere, not just Amsterdam, but it's also not real if you have to pay for it.
    • 1
Tiger of Wu Apr 16, 09
Why not? Porn is just meaningless sex. That's what you get when paying.

      Seems same enough to me.
      • 2
        iLLmatic Apr 16, 09
Porn is 100% fantasy, nothing real about it. Paying for sex, some would say is the same thing, not real. It's really just a point of view thing. This is all irrelevant anyway. I wasn't even trying to get into a philosophical discussion of porn.
