Mystery of the 7 Games Missing from E3

The Smaller version of E3 came and went, and what we realised was that there were some big name games missing from the event.

In particular there were 7 games that were missing from E3:

    1. GTA IV
    2. Spore
    3. God of War 3
    4. Rainbow Six
    5. Prince of Persia 4
    6. Peter Jackson's Halo
    7. Final Fantasy XIII
Some obviously aren't surprises, but others certainly are.

E3 was smaller and somewhat less important this year. That's not to say publishers didn't come out in spades to show their latest lineups of games. There were a few distinct absentees, all big games that we would have loved to see. Some are obvious and some are speculation, but having these games shown this week would have made our trip down to Santa Monica a little more meaningful.

    Grand Theft Auto IV was at E3. It wasn't a major show but there was apparently a gameplay video shown.
    Final Fantasy XIII was confirmed not to be at E3 weeks before it actually happened so I wouldn't call that a mystery to be honest ...
    Peter Jacksons Halo has only recently been announce so there would be no real point in announcing it without screenshots or any information to accompany it all.

    ... I'm not really bothered about the others though ^^

    God of War 3? Did they really expect one so soon? Odd how high demand is, heh. Heavenly Sword can fill the God of War gap because of the similar gameplay.

    The creators of Spore said that since their game isn't being released this year, they are dropping out of E3 (though they said that at an E3 interview) to leave room for those that are coming out this year.

    It's pretty much a given that FFXIII wouldn't have any information on it with TGS not too far away. I can see them wanting to give out information there first rather than E3.

    GTA IV was there just on a smaller scale. I was hoping to see Spore though.

    I would have loved news on Final Fantasy XIII but liek said they ruined it before hand by saying that there wont be any ¬¬

      Yeah, I was upset about that too. At least we weren't disappointed when it came to the actual show though. ^^;

      I'm a bit surprised about God of War 3 not being there. That would have been absolutely amazing!

    Well as Said GTA IV was there but there wasn't a real big say so on it.

    I would of loved to see the news on Final Fantasy though.

    There is going to be God of War 3 already? God of War 2 isnt really out. I dont really care about all the rest, maybe Prince of Persia but thats it.

    I remember when E3 was like the coolest event of the year, and everyone was always super excited to see what was coming out. Not this time.

    Are you serious? God of War 3 isn't going to be released nor be in production until after Chains of Olympus is released which is January 21, 08. And even then we won't see this game until mid 2010 at best. Why would you even bring that game up as mystery game? Everyone who plays God of war games knows this.

    Yes, definitely the lack of information about FFXIII was a let down ..
