A Rant On Bosses: Final Fantasy & Shank

Having taken a lot of heat initially for including the Blu-Ray player in the PS3 (which also caused the price to increase), it seems that Sony's decision was most certainly justified, as Project Gotham Racing 4 for the XBOX360 was recently announced to exceed the DVD9's capacity. It seems that Sony have taken this news, and welcomed it with open arms, using this news as a way to somewhat rightfully "gloat" about the their future sense in including the Blu-Ray player with the PS3.
We took a lot of heat at launch for including Blu-Ray in PS3. Now it looks like that investment is being justified.
Next generation games simply need more space on the disc to contain all that high definition content. Take a look at Lair, for example, already pushing 25GB of content, and that is a first-generation title. At 50GB storage capacity, Blu-Ray gives the PS3 plenty of headroom for developers to fully realize their visions well into the future.

Good to hear, and I dont blame them for gloating, to be honest I do think they made the right move in adding it towards to console.
Things are getting better for Sony.
It's not limiting them from creating the same effect. Sure, they can't just copy & paste the level and add a night sky, but obviously, that's not necessary.
To be honest I think Microsoft is fine for now, however when the next console comes out I do believe a change is needed.
