Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

With the so-called storm over racism in Resident Evil 5, it may surprise you to learn that Capcom was actually taken to task over a completely different game, Zack & Wiki for the Nintendo Wii. The company received complaints from Muslims who realized footage from E3 gameplay demos of Zack & Wiki included the Arabic phrase "Allahu akbar", meaning "God is most Great", which is used during Islamic prayers. Capcom took the complaints to heart and has promised the final versions of the game will not include the phrase. According to a news release from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR):
In an e-mail to CAIR, a Capcom spokesperson wrote: "We have already contacted the team working on the game, and the phrase has been removed from the game and will not be heard in future videos released to the public."
The spokesperson added that the company had received other complaints about the inclusion of the phrase in the game.
"We appreciated Capcom's willingness to address Muslim concerns and applaud the company's swift and appropriate actions," said CAIR Communications Coordinator Amina Rubin.

As a Muslim myself, Zack and Wiki saying God is most great doesn't affect me much, but for that game? Pfft.
Why do people have to find fault in so many things these days? I'm sure the creators of Resident Evil 5 weren't meaning to be racist.
And why is everyone insulting Z&W?
