Rock Band to be cheaper on PS3?

This may very well be another mistake another online-retailers park, however I'm fairly certain that it's not. Amazon.com have begun pre-orders for Rock Band and it's accessories, which themselves are fairly expensive. You can opt to buy the $199.99 all-in-one pack, or the $59.99 Rock Band Stand Alone Software, and just buy the accessories at your convenience (will be VERY expensive this way).

With the price of the accessories ranging from $30 to $80, it seems buying the stand alone software + accessories will be cheaper if you have the Playstation 3 system, compared to the XBOX360 system. As you can see from the images attached below, the Wireless Guitar is sold separately costs $79.99 on the XBOX360, however the price on the PS3 system is $20 less at $59.99.

One possible reason for the price difference is an error in listings, however another reason could simply be that with EA having to pay for the licensing fee to acquire Xbox's proprietary wireless technology, they simply opted to sell it for that much higher, in order to recoup their expenses.

    Hmmm interesting, $20 isn't a lot but I am sure it is enough to opt people to buying the game on PS3 instead of 360 if the gamer owns both consoles. I'll hope this is an error (simple typo) and if not hope that this isn't the same for prices in UK.

    Well if someone only wants one of the accessories, and doesn't want to fork out on the full $200 at first, then the PS3 will be the best version for them, because at the end of the day, if they buy the guitar later on, they'll still save $20 over the XBOX360 price

    If people buy it now, don't they HAVE TO give it at that price?

    This entire game seems *bleep*ed as it is. I mean, who is their right mind would spend so much money? Just get a bunch of mates together with real intruments...

    Yes this has been known for a while, Microsoft are licencing out their wireless tech it is the only way the Guitar in Rock Band [X360] would be wireless, so in this instance the superior bluetooth accessory is cheaper than the standard wireless accessory,

    I guess this is good but of course to me it sounds pointless as I hate these types of games xD

    But good to give the option of both and not a massive cost either.
