With the XBOX360 still using the DVD9, and Tri-Ace being known for their (longish) RPG's, it's not a wonder as to why their first RPG for the XBOX360 will require multiple discs.

It seems that gone will be the days where you could play the game from start to finish without having to get up (to change the discs).

Take a look at the screenshots below, it explains to an extent why multiple discs are needed.

In a meeting with Hiroshi Ogawa, Director for Infinite Undiscovery, and Hajime Kojima, Producer for the title, IGN learned for a second time at TGS this year that a game coming to Xbox 360 would require multiple discs. This time around, it's Infinite Undiscovery. The two game makers couldn't say exactly how many discs the game would require as it is still in the middle of production, but they were certain that it wouldn't fit on a single DVD. They also weren't sure how long the game would last, but estimated 30-40 hours.

Looking good but still a bit of a blow for 360 fans ...

What the hell? How is it a blow? If you're too lazy to spend 5 seconds changing the disc, then you're probably too lazy to press the buttons on the damn controller.

Because for the past four *bleep*ing years, Microsoft has been swearing that one DVD9 was enough for ANY next-gen game, and that Blu-ray and the amount of data it could store was completely unnecessary.

If you can't get up and change a disc, you're nothing but lazy. DVD9 is more than enough. Extra discs WILL NOT HURT YOU.

I myself found it extremely irritating when I had to change the disks in FFVII and FFVIII. And yes, I'm EXTREMELY Lazy.

Well, both are right (Bunnyburn and guticb)...

On the PS1, you needed to change the disk (sometimes up to three times, as was the case of FFVIII, 4 disks total), and its not hard to do...

But it is nice to NOT have to do it...I mean, look at it this way...its like going halfway through a 3 hour movie...and on a DVD5, you'd need to change disks, on a DVD9 you don't...Just sub in DVD9, for DVD5, and Sub in Blu-Ray for DVD9, and change 'movie' to 'game', and multiply the hours by 10x or more...

Well, you get the idea...While it isn't a big deal, it is still something...

But imagine if you want to play a specific part of the game so you change discs. The you want to play another specific part on the other disc so you change again. And imagine if people have multiple files or other people have files. Switching would be quite annoying and while its a small annoyance why should you have too when you don't need to?

I think the worst part of this article is the graphics aren't even that good (at least that's what I think from the screenshots)

Yes, we know it can be a bit of a hassle, and it is nice NOT to have to switch disks (I know I don't want to have to)...but it won't kill you...

And EXCUSE me? Watch the trailer on Gametrailers...

I watched the trailer. The FMV's were great but then that doesnt mean much. Even the Wii's FMV's look great. The actual gameplay looks like it could have been done on the PS2
