There's reports that after updating to the latest Wii firmware that it breaks many of the internet channels including things related to router functionality. No word from Nintendo on the matter. Other users are reporting that the update has completely killed their internet connection on the Wii and showing error codes that don't even exist on the support.nintendo.com site. It may be a good idea to hold off on updating if possible while Nintendo irons out the bugs!

error code: 209552

The weird thing about this code is nintendo isn't letting users on there web page know what this error code means and worse users that have tried the changing of the wireless router channel have experienced other problem's the wii no longer recognizing the router and the system not connecting to the weather channels or the news channel but the strangest thing of all the web browser functions still..

Wow, it is a good thing I saw this, I might have updated and screwed up my Wii! I wonder why this is happening, and when it is going to be fixed.

Another good reason about why is GameGrep good.

Anyways, this sounds scary. What is going to happen to all the other users? When is this problem going to be fixed?

Well, I guess that's their reason, maybe they do know something about online. I always thought that was there weakness, and I am a Nintendo fanboy.

Uh ohhhh. Well, I haven't turned my Wii on in about a month, so I don't think I should be worried as I won't be turning it on any time soon.
