Is there any purpose or benefit from customizing a home in this game?

It would give you more investment in the world around you. Nice detail I think.

I doubt there's anything useful though. Just more to immerse you more in the world of saints row.

Would be cool if it acted as the lobby when you host multiplayer games.

Doesn't look like it its just an RPG element like the pointless elements in GTA SA.

Gotta love how i get thumbed down for stating a true point, Saints Row 2 is adding the same RPG elements that were in GTA SA, they were pointless didn't do much but annoy some people and please others but ultimately they were ther for no real purpose... Some people these days are really *bleep*ing pathetic when it comes to using that button.

Maybe with the PS3 version, it could have some actual In HOME benefits?

Well, I do like character customization in games....Though I would prefer to see a character that was really well designed, over a list of a dozen skins or so, that look kinda 'meh' in-game >_>

10 bucks says that it won't be more useful than a save point *coughgrandtheftautocough*.

Doubt it considering in Saints Row you can press start and save the game anywhere, yes you could use the house but it wasn't just for that.

The character made as it's suppose to be is always better.
