Three New Far Cry 2 Screenshots!

Three new screenshots from Far Cry 2 have been released by Ubisoft demonstrating the amazing graphics in the game. The game is currently scheduled for release sometime this year.

Far Cry marked the beginning of a new era for shooters. An era of gorgeous graphics and of advanced artificial intelligence, we are confident that Far Cry 2 will have the same impact again on the FPS genre landscape.

    The first FarCry was stunning for its time...good to see that the sequel lives up (surpasses) to it's predecessor in terms of graphics. ^^

    Hmm, it is going to be a nice shootout Unreal Engine 3 VS CryEngine 2

    Also I hope all the shiny graphics, will be easy to implement and they can also focus on gameplay as well. Not that I mind stunning graphics! Now where is Valve's source engine in all this, ah well at least source is easier to mod. Heh, all engines have their ups and downs, but this does look amazing. I probably finally need to go and shop for a new graphics card "

    Pretty tasty graphics indeed on those screenshots. I'd probably need to do a fairly hefty upgrade to my system to be able to run things like that at decent specs, at least getting a better graphics card anyway.

    I didn't even know consoles could handle those graphics. PC's sure, PS3's got the Cell, but the 360 always surprises me, and not in a bad way. Everyone has told me the Cell lets the PS3 handle more detailed graphics than 360, but I'm beginning to think that's not true.

      I don't think those are console screens. Quite certain they're PC screens. I'm also pretty sure Far Cry 2 will get released on the PC before it gets released on the consoles.

        Its a multiplatform release it will be out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on the same day as far as i know.

      The CELL does let the PS3 do things no other PC/360 can do. Just that its gunna take a while for us to see that.

    If anyone has seen it in action, it's an absolute stunner of an action game. There are things happening in that game (unscripted mind you) that I've never seen attempted before. Has it been confirmed to be coming to PS3 yet or is it still scheduled for only 360/PC?

      I'm fairly sure it's been PS3-announced. If not, it'll likely happen anyway.

      Its on PS3, Ubisoft stated about a month ago the PS3 was incredible when it came to running Far Cry 2, it was doing things they didn't think a console could do.

        I might look into this game; I've researched it a little bit, and they've got some amazing technological features in there, like their AI and dynamic environments. .

    Damn this game looks amazing. The depth of field makes it look 100 times better too!!!!!

    And yeah, it's 360, PS3 and PC.
