Mexican restaurant's new mascot looks alot like Mario. Plaigarism, much?

The Mexican restaurant "Pancho Bigotes" has a brand new mascot ... who looks an awful lot like a certain Nintendo mascot who goes by the name of Mario.

Actually, "Pancho Whiskers" doesn't just look like Mario - He is Mario! It's a direct cut and paste of an old Mario picture, edited so he looks 'more Mexican'.

But, hey, maybe Nintendo won't notice the copyright infringement through all that photoshopping?

GoNintendo reader Palafox sent in a photo from Pancho Bigotes restaurant in Acapulco, Mexico. Their sign contains an awfully familiar character in a sombrero.

    Maybe it isn't Mario...it could be his father's, uncle's, second cousin's, granddaughter's, nephew's, son-in-law.

    But yeah, seriously their just begging for trouble from Nintendo, perhaps they thought that nobody would tell anyone.

    Designs are the same and if you look closely to the mexican, (no offence) he is wearing red both under the shirt and under the sombrero. This is definitely cut and paste.

    Cmon NINTENDO SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have been to Mexico, this is not rare. Every grocery store, pharmacy, restaurant use a Disney, Warner Bros, or video game character as their logo. I have been to a store called "Abarrotes Mario", which roughly translates to "Mario's Grocery Store". And yes, it did have a picture of Mario next to the name.
