A few days ago Gamegrep had an article that showed off Silent Hill: Homecoming's US box-art and, well, it's design wouldn't have been my first choice in showing customers what a Silent Hill game is all about.

The UK boxart, on the other hand, gets "the point". It's a rather nice representation of what we can expect to see in Homecoming, don't you agree?

I like this cover more than the other one, of the photograph. That being said, I don't know if there's necessarily a specific "point" to capture at all.

Not like the other Silent Hill's had great cover art. The Room was of a door... I guess that was the "point"? I'm not sure if I'm going to be purchasing Homecoming, but I've come to terms with the fact that it isn't Silent Hill 5, but more like a spin-off. Seeing it as such makes it easier to digest.

The locked/chained door kinda was the "point" of the game. XD

I like it when box-arts reflect the games... and look pretty. This one does both

Most of the UK SH box-arts are nice to look at, or at least better than th US ones. (Well, except for SH1 but alot of PSone boxes seemed to suck. ) You guys kinda get the short end of the stick when it came to box-art designs.

Whoops, yeah that's what I meant. Poor choice of passive tense; edited to better convey what I meant. But I mean, Silent Hill 3, 2, and 1 didn't really have moving covers that accurately reflected what each game is about -- unless you consider a shot of the protagonist's face to be the "point." I would've totally approved if Silent Hill 4 had a cover with Cynthia dragging her face all over the floor with her ridiculous hair in ghost form. *snrk*

I do like this one much more than the photograph-cover. It's more dramatic.

The UK box art is much better in my opinion. Too bad I live in the US...
