EXCLUSIVE: First Pictures of Black Lightsaber in The Force Unleashed!

They guys over at UGO.com have a real treat for those looking forward to The Force Unleashed. In addition to different costumes and force power choices to customize your character you also have the option of selecting a color and power crystal for your lightsaber. The infamous SW Epanded Universe's BLACK LIGHTSABER being one of them!

I’ve been dying to show these to you since I unlocked the Black Lightsaber in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It looks f’ing bad ass.

It’s also a pretty major spoiler, so I’ve gone and placed it after the jump, for fear that you’ll all kill me…

    That's all good and dandy, but if there is no PC version they can keep their black lightsaber for all I care- and I don't think I am alone in thinking that.

      You aren't but having beat it this weekend Death, I think I may be right in saying: If you are assuming this is Dark Forces IV (Jedi Knight 3) it is not.... close, but no cigar.

      I rather hold off for a true PC version of JK3 - with the controls that lead to more dynamic saber battles (and not pre-set combos + force powers), jumping off walls, different saber stances, and a fully customizeable character...

      That said, it is a great game if you don't look at it as a direct successor of the PC JK games we loved... maybe better to hink of it as a Jedi Knight-lite title... I enjoyed it, one of the best storylines ever in a SW game, and nothing beats one force grip moment when you do something epic (no spoilers from me, sorry)

    I definitely need to buy this game sometime. Probably not right away, but definitely soon.

    Wow, I'm actually disappointed to how the black lightsaber looks. Just the sight of the words "black lightsabers" got me all gitty but to be honest, I think it looks pretty bad. I'm not sure if it's the quality of the picture or the look in general but I don't really like it. I thought the whole thing would be black with a kind of slight transparent black sort of glow....

      I think the picture's general quality might be partly to blame. The article says that the picture were taken with an iPhone.

      It'd probably look better once we see some HD screenshots.

    Your title interested me... along with anything wearing black being sexy.

    The white around the black looks terrible, should've been a black and dark grey combination.

      Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The look just doesn't seem appealing to me.

    The glow on the saber looks terrible, but as Turmoil mentioned, it could just be the picture quality. Still, I don't give a damn about a black lightsaber, green ftw.

    I really like the black light saber, but I would really like to see a dark purple one.

    Would'a liked to have seen this in a movie though.
