We have seen some console comparisons that try to bring straight facts and nothing more, others that are completely biased and are easy to tell, but this one just takes the cake. Taken from a newspaper to help people decide what console to get this christmas is the worst comparison ever. Such pro's for 360 is it has "gutter hero" but some cons for the PS3 are "you have to plug it into the tv" and for PC cons "you have to pay for internet" and plenty more.

I wouldn't be taking it that seriously. It looks like it was written by some young kid, especially since above it looks like some Christmas show by the kids.

Only a kid can praise the DS because you get a free charger with it.
      • 1
        Spurs_Rule_And_Rock Dec 30, 08
a con of the DS is you have to charge it once in a while. You have to bo to bed once in a while, but that's not a con of life? What kind of dumba*s wrote this?

Theory of Chaos Dec 25, 08
Is there a console that you don't have to plug into the TV? What the *bleep* is going on here?
    • 0
      Big A2 Dec 25, 08
Yup. The DS, the PSP, and all Game Boys.

And using that logic, Super Mario Land is now the new best gamer ever.

        HisServant77 Dec 26, 08
But are the DS, PSP, and Game Boys really considered consoles? I always thought people differentiated consoles from handhelds or something.

Or is that just one of those personal preferences?
        • 0
          Big A2 Dec 29, 08
It doesn't matter, but since they play games, I think they're consoles.

    TurMoiL911 Dec 25, 08
I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for this comparsion. I vote for too much LSD.

Seriously, how old was the person who wrote this ? Never mind the faulty logic; just look at the grammar.

    Cons of the PS3 360:

"You have to plug it in to your TV"

OMG, I'm going to hurl from laughing so hard.

    OMG, this is just Epic.
    This gets the Fail award.
    • 0
      Storm Dec 25, 08
You confused the hell out of me. How do you put Epic in one sentence, and fail right after?
      • 1
        Final Blade Dec 25, 08
It's no different when people use epic fail. It means that you failed so hard it's epic, as in huge failure.
        • 0
          Capn Droid Jan 1, 09
I seriously don't want to philosophically argue about "epic fails", let alone someone I shouldn't be arguing with in the first place, but the way he said it confused me too. It's as if he was saying both words in separate ideas.

I think that the person who wrote this is also the person who approved the article itself.

O and if any people actually read this article in that paper and think 'MY GOD! ITS RIGHT!' then they should be shot >_>

      Big A2 Dec 25, 08
Then, if he did write it why would he be pointing out his own stupidity?
      • 0
        bob8294 Dec 25, 08
Well, if he was stupid enough to write something like that in the first place, what's stopping him from approving it?

Well its in a newspaper, so it could be classed as an article. sort of.
        • 0
          Big A2 Dec 25, 08
Newspapers editors are usually pretty smart people.

But since there's no name indicating who wrote the graph, we don't know who wrote it and whether it was a kid or not. I just sure as hell hope it's wasn't the editor.

The best con they could come up with for the GameCube was that
'the discs are small and you could lose it'??

WTF, this has to be some kind of joke.

    Big A2 Dec 25, 08
Another interesting con is: "You have to buy the game to play guitar hero."

You have to buy stuff to use it? Wow, what a horrible concept for a console to have.
    • 0
      HisServant77 Dec 26, 08
Actually I think it said you have to buy the "guitar" to play the game. That . . . actually when I first heard of Guitar Hero and everything, I was let down a bit by the thought of having to buy expensive peripherals to play the game. But . . . to play via a regular controller would be boring.

Last time I checked DS games were smaller again.

    conel3 Dec 26, 08
why do they think that the ps3 isnt 4 player?
    • 0
      HisServant77 Dec 26, 08
ah probably those things going around saying the PS3 has no games that support 4 player multiplayer, compared to other consoles. Which . . . I kinda agree. Not many PS3 games allow 4 players to go online on the same PS3. I love the ones that do, but there seriously needs to be more (along with the feature of allowing multiple PSN accounts to log in simultaneously).

lol Noobz Wii is superior, it don't need to be plugged into no damn TV!!
    • 1
      pooOBKp Dec 26, 08
Yeah, but you have to buy a battery charger.
  • 0
    HisServant77 Dec 26, 08
Hm . . . Very odd. Aphex had it right though. There's no way this was written by an adult, even if they were completely against or ignorant of gaming.

So why are people finding this serious and everything? Then again, I really didn't find it that funny either, so why are people finding it funny? (I guess I can't talk much because though I'm always happy and smiling, I laugh very seldom due to an actual funny thing That makes me so sad )

The kid seems to like portable systems. Also, think of this from a kid's perspective. The kid may honestly think the points are valid. I mean, who WOULDN'T want to have a system that you didn't have to plug into a TV (came with it's own decently sized screen) with fewer plugs and things to connect, that had a battery that didn't need to be recharged, that could play multiple people on the same system or through free online play, and you could play Guitar Hero without having to buy the Guitar (which brings the cost down decently)?

Shoo, I would . . . well, depending on how big that screen was and what games the system had!

Wow. I think the worst console ever i've ever seen, is a rip off of a PSP it looked exactly the same, but was spelt PlayStatonPortable. With no I in Station. Also, you can't buy PSP discs for it. It had some rip off mario game on it. That's gotta be the worst console EVAR!
    • 0
      Big A2 Dec 27, 08
Why are you talking about knock-off consoles all of a sudden?
      • 0
        Spurs_Rule_And_Rock Dec 28, 08
Lol good question. Cause this article is about the worst console "evar", i disagree, i think it's the "PlayStatonPortable".

Is there no such thing as an editor for this paper?
    • 0
      HisServant77 Dec 28, 08
Well . . . could be a school paper. Could be a light-hearted part of the paper. Could also be a kid's section of the paper.

The news is way too serious and this could simply be a stab at lightening up the mood

its got such bad grammar and spelling, i dont know how it made it past editing though.

They only logical explaination is that there is no editor for this newspaper.

It's put GUTTER HERO. What a ass! Pro's of the something; YOU CAN PLAY GUTTER HERO ON IT. Cons of the something; YOU HAVE TO BUY GUTTER HERO. God help us.

This is obvious crap. Take the con of Gutter Hero.

Pro of Sleeping: You enjoy it
Con of Sleeping: You have to pay for a bed.

        DUH. Everyone knows this sh*t!

God. The cons of DS reads:
    quote
    You can lose the stylus
Well duh? You can loose your penis but thats not a con?

Make sure the penis isn't exposed when Animals are about. They might try to bite it thinking it's a hotdog.
