Fan of the game or not, you have to admit, faith has some sweet looking tattoos on her arms and eye. A person was struck by these tattoos after seeing the E3 trailer and took the design to a tattoo parlor. The tattoo did come out looking sweet.

This guy Patrick emailed us to say he got a tattoo like Faith's from Mirror's Edge. Immediately I thought of her eye sunburst and figured he's gonna look like Mike Tyson. Nope. Much, much cooler.

Writes Patrick:
"Faith's tattoo design struck me when I watched the E3 2008 trailer, and I knew I wanted to emulate the tattoo. This past summer — prior to the release of Mirror's Edge, I brought an image of Faith's tattoo to a local tattoo artist, and he tattooed a similar design on my right arm. This is my first tattoo. It took 10 hours over three sessions spanning eight weeks to complete. I really enjoy Mirror's Edge but the circuitry design of the tattoo attracted me to it most principally."

Pretty cool, i would have personally enjoyed this article more if it was a female. Not for the sex appeal but for the fact that Faiths tattoos are very feminine and would probably look better on a woman naturally. Though judging the picture the tattoo is very good, might have been an idea to get the tattooist to scale the design up a tad to make it a full sleeve design. As while that is not true to Faith it would make it more unique and more importantly masculine.

What about it makes you think it is particularly feminine? Point of fact if you actually play the game nearly every character in the game both male and female sport some form of tattooing similar to Faith's. Sort of makes me wonder if it is even a tatoo at all.

Because its so big on the arm, Yeah a smaller tattoo would have been ok, but its like his whole arm. At least this doesn't compare to the guy who had snake on his hands. He's going to have that for life, and quite alot of employers don't take kindly to large tattoos.

True, it is quite big, but you have to admit, it would not look as nice if it was so small. And I personally don't think its bad as some people who go crazy with the amount of tattoos on their body.

only if they are visible. Employers can't turn someone away if their tattoo can't be seen through clothing. Hell my tattoo on my chest can't be seen unless I wear a thin shirt. I'm having my first 4 hour session for my huge back tattoo next Tuesday...so if my employer sacks me for that then I have legal rights to take them to court for breaching the equal rights policy.

As to sad...one man's dirt is another man's treasure. In other words, what you may consider sad, someone else may think it's cool. A tattoo is a personalised message, it shows what you like, it shows your emotions, what and who you love. Personally I wouldn't get game characters or anything else as such on myself but I have seen a few people with game tattoos and they are awesome.

I know a girl who has the umbrella emblem on the back of her neck. I also get asked why I have a wolf tattoo and why one of the tattoos I am getting also has a wolf. My answer? I like wolves and no one but me can tell me what I can and can't have on my own body, it is as simple as that.

I think the tattoo is pretty cool but personally I don't think it was a good idea to get the exact same one. They guy should of changed it up a bit.

I hope he has a good cover story. I'd bet a lot of money that when chicks he meets ask him where he got the idea for the tattoo from, and he answers with "A chick in this cool video game had it," it will not impress the girl.

Hey its his arm though, of course.

Tattoos are about self expression, not impressing chicks. Any guy that gets a tattoo to impress a girl is an idiot.

Agreed, far too permanent to get for someone else.

You're ass better like it, it's yours to live with.

I have keyblade inspired tats on my forearms. Tattoos are whatever the person who has to live with them for the rest of their life wants them to be.

His looks pretty good, wonder what type of ink they used.....most of the time solid black fades too damn much.

He cut it off short lol...

The actual tattoo is a stylized assault rifle.

Come to think of it now comparing the two between this picture, faiths and his. I think he's just taken a bit of artistic license to be honest. His isn't the same.

Haha. Where did you find this? Pretty cool and confusing when you think about it since Faith doesn't like guns.

When your a badass you can look odd and nobody will say a word. In fact they probably will copy you. Like damn near any Final Fantasy character or Goku or some shit...the second people try to make their hair like that they look like idiots.

This dude's problem is that he isn't a badass.

That tatoo sucks! Sorry personal opinion. Just thought I'd say since apparently people who are "fans or not" like Faith's tatoos.
    I don't.

That is a cool tattoo design but it's awfully big and I've never been a fan of video game inspired tattoos.
The eye sunburst would have been a lot cooler.

On a side note, Faith looks sort of freaky and pale in that image above. Sorta like a zombie Japanese Kabuki theater performer or something.

It actually doesn't look that bad design wise. It just looks pretty poo in my opinion because it's way too thick.
