Do you remember the article about the home-made life size portal gun? Well the creator of that gun went on to create more video game memorabilia. This time its the syringe from Bioshock. What will he make next?

Harrison Krix, the prop artist who turned heads recently by making a real-life mock-up of a Portal gun, has just created another video game weapon. This time, it's the syringe wielded by Little Sisters in BioShock.

That's just stupid, though I haven't played the game so maybe it means something to fans. I personally don't find making a syringe exactly spectacular. It also looks like a sex toy to be honest.

In the game, you inject yourself with a syringe to use some of your mutant super human powers.

      -_-

Next time you have something to say, think long and hard about it, then don't say it.

I don't get what you're trying to insinuate. Obviously it'll mean something to people who play the game, or at least a different meaning to what I retain. Unless you're trying to be funny by suggesting it has no fans, I honestly don't get it.

I was subversively calling you a moron. You're saying it means nothing to you and you're calling it stupid, then you say you haven't played the game. If you haven't played the game then obviously you're not going to understand the significance of the syringe, so calling a replica of it stupid when you know *bleep* all about it is, in and of itself, VERY stupid.

          Dark Arcanine Mar 1, 09
Not really. A syringe as an iconic game item can still seem stupid to me, sorry you're so closed minded.

Tiger of Wu Mar 1, 09
I'm closed-minded because I find you judging something you know nothing about to be stupid stupid? Wow. Your density is amazing.

I find your rudeness to be amazing. It's like saying someone can't judge the looks of a band just because they haven't heard their music. It's your logic which is stupid.

Tiger of Wu Mar 1, 09
It's nothing like that. What it's like is saying someone can't judge their music without hearing their music. You know nothing of the syringe; what it represents, what it does, why it's there and yet you call it stupid, you said nothing about looks so that's irrelevant. Judging something you know NOTHING about is nothing short of moronic and ignorant.

It's equivocal to calling the mushrooms from mario stupid if you've never played a mario game and don't know anything about them.

I did bring the looks into question and as I don't play the game, it's obvious to even the most inferior of brains that I was looking at it from a looks and concept perspective.

Stop trying to get one up on me you can't and you could call the mushrooms from Mario stupid without playing, your examples don't help your poor case at all.

And don't even try to use music analogies with me, I live it and just makes your argument look further stupid.

Just drop it and stop being so insistent and annoying, I don't like the look of it, the end.

Well, I do love how these arguments end up. Instead of using logic and pointing out the reason in the post(s), the argument ends with "you're a *bleep*ing moron, a stupid, dense, arrogant, self-righteous prick, an obnoxious little freak, insult insult insult nyeh nyeh". :s

Nonetheless, Arc, it's best not to point out the obvious. The Portal gun looks completely pointless, and essentially like a molded wad of plastic, unless you've played Portal. Likewise, this will just look like a syringe-gaspump hybrid unless you've played the game. It obviously isn't meant to appeal to those who haven't played the game.

    That's pretty cool tbh.

I always love when replicas are made of ingame items. Especially since I'm very materialistic.

Make a life-size Bouncer suit and I'll be impressed.

Nah, it is epic . I can just imagine someone wearing make-up and contact lenses walking around comic-con with one.

full bouncer suit... that'd have to weigh like 200lbs

        Koloth Feb 28, 09
Depends on what materials are used. Carbon Fiber would look good with a decent paint job and wouldn't weight much at all.

          Onvacation Feb 28, 09
Doesn't really matter how much it'd weigh, no-one would be big enough to wear a full sized one anyhoo

Tiger of Wu Feb 28, 09
'course they would, Bouncer's aren't that big. In fact, they are normal men just mind-washed and put in the suits (as far as I can remember anyway). Unless if I've just got what you said totally wrong.

Unless the legs are abnormally long or something there is always a way to make a costume work. There is a guy on the net that makes functional Transformer costumes. Functional as in you can wear them and literally turn into a car or something just by moving your arms and legs into position.

If someone can manage to build transforming costumes I'm sure someone could manage to make a life size Bouncer.

Anyway, read this (or just scroll down... you'll see it). Mwahahahaha.

My bad, my memory played tricks on me, For some reason i thought Big Daddies were about 3-4ft taller and very thickly built then the average person, Plus the way the helmet faces the front might make it a challenge.

          Koloth Mar 1, 09
Nah, the helmet would just make it uncomfortable.

You could just make a small one, besides one made of carbon fiber would be very expensive.
