I wonder if enemies can swim too? Or shoot at you?

'cos I could just swim everywhere if they just give up once you dive.

I reckon they would be able to swim too. It would be disappointing if they couldn't. One of the things I love about the game is being chased by the enemies. Pretty thrilling.

BTW, where is AC2 taking place this time?

At the very least I'd expect them to continue chasing you along the paths of the canals.

I think i saw on another article. Around 1400-1500 Italy.

I would assume that with the Da Vinci style trailers.

The exact year is something like 1457.

Edit: I was close. The game takes place in 1476.

I see they've ramped the bird imagery up too, what with his shoulder pad and stuff.

      And;

This is definitely a must have game now. Anyone know the time its in? I heard 17th. But that was a while ago. I wonder why they didn't think of water the first time around?

I hope the weapons thing holds true.

We were supposed to have a crossbow in AC1, and that never happened.

I think they took it out because it made the game too easy, it also made it hard to have that convo thing after you assassinate those guys. The whole moving through the crowds, finding the right time to strike is better than just climbing up a building, shooting the guy and then running back to the hide-out.

I suppose you're right, but I always figured it would've probably just been a ranged weapon that would be slightly more powerful than the throwing daggers. You're making it sound like it would've been a one-hit-kill weapon, which I sort of doubt.

Game's sounding and looking fantastic already. Give us some variety in missions and such and I'm sold.

Enemies chasing you down by swimming? That's a bit lame lol, I'd rather they try to shoot arrows or something at you, I mean how are you going to fight whilst swimming? :S

It hasn't been confirmed whether enemies can swim or not. =P.

Yeah I know, I was just replying to the comments above...although I didn't directly reply to them. Whoops. xD I just think it would be a bad idea.

Once again, beautiful graphics detail and topography, but if they stay with the pointless and redundant investigations, shitty combat, terrible aiming system, and lack of motivation to complete side quests, then it will just be another self-sabotage act.

I liked the last self-sabotage act.

Well there are a lot of things I do like about it, but I feel like they just ignored enough of the structure to soil the overall game, and this was made evident by the large difference in review scores. I don't think it deserved 7s, but it definitely was not 9 and up either.

I can't remember where but I read somewhere (I think here on GameGrep) that they are NOT going to continue the eavesdropping and pickopocketing events because players thought they were boring. By the way, does anyone know if it's the same studio who's working on the sequel? Because Ubisoft Montreal was working on Prince of Persia for a while.

If any of you read the articles, you'd know that they have a severely revamped mission system: there are over 16 different mission types (and no more pickpocketing and eavesdropping), and some mission can evolve mid-mission. So, for example, a delivery mission could turn into an escort mission, which could in turn evolve into a small assassination mission.

I do hope they have enhanced the gameplay for this one, AC was an awesome game but it had one problem... repetativeness.

So, the playable character is called Ezio. You can use many different weapons, which sounds cool. Swimming seems pretty useful too.

    Pics to small...

Ezio's infamy grows if makes too much commotion, making people more suspicious. If you become notorious, new missions appear (example: assassinate the witnesses, bribe people, get rid of wanted posters), so you can lower your notorious level if you want.
