A new Bayonetta screenshot was released a few days ago, featuring the femme-fatale and the young girl Cereza. But many sites have noticed something interesting about the picture... Bayonetta herself seems freakishly large in comparison to the little girl.

Either she's a giant or that girl is unnaturally small!

All of the characters in Soul Calibur are really short for some reason. Sigfried and Nightmare are both 5'8".

Back in the times it was set people were overall a lot shorter IRL; I guess they just made it like that for when they cared about plot and whatnot and kept it running through the sequels.

Soul Calibur is Japanese. I think. What's short for us is on the tall side for them, no prejudice intended.

Nah, it wasn't just because of that. Back with Soul Blade and Soul Calibur 1 they actually put time and effort into researching for the characters of the game, and since the sizes made sense for the time period they made it so.

There are a myriad of Japanese games with tall people, even by our standards, such as this one.

But when she walks up to normal humans in the game, she is the same size, if not a few inches taller.

She isn't tall, its just that everyone else is short/sensitive about their height/sensitive about the size of their heads
