This can technically be considered the first concept art image we have seen for Dead Space 2. It will be the main story for Gameinformers January issue. On the cover it shows off Isaac's new armor and him fighting off a necromorph. Now we just wait until the issue is released to get details on the game!

Game Informer’s January cover story explores the cold and terrifying corners of space with EA and Visceral Games’ Dead Space 2.

After the success of the original Dead Space, gamers have been waiting patiently for a sequel to continue the series’ unique blend of horror and dismemberment-focused gunplay. Electronic Arts finally made the official announcement of Dead Space 2, and we go in-depth with 10 pages of exclusive details on what awaits Isaac Clarke in his new battle against the vicious necromorphs.

For your sake then, I hope that's only a Lvl. 1 suit.

It's pretty much the same as it was before but he's added a few smart adjustments like a neck guard, perhaps a bit more armour. Thats about it maybe the next game will take him to areas that are truly deadly as Dead Space 1 wasn't that deadly.

Is that Clarke or an android? That design looks a LITTLE too weird now.

Oh man, Isaac was revealed to be a total nutcase at the end of Dead Space. I hope they contrive something to give the new game a new protagonist with Isaac appearing in a cameo.

Then again, playing as a total nutcase a la "The Machinist" would be quite fun.

I would rather play as a nutcase. You can play some sweet hallucination levels. i.e arkham asylum.

Those were "acid trip" levels. I prefer the "hallucination levels" where you actually believe they're real.

But I really think Isaac should come back. However there really isn't much left he can offer other than some cliche re-occuring story character reason.

Looks awesome cannot wait. Ready to get slammed violently back into a hole in the wall and come out looking like a badass once again.
