After years of waiting, Gran Turismo will finally be released this March. And of the signs that we are getting ever so close to release date is the release of the Box Art cover. This version is for EU, so NA could see a different cover.

Firstly may I take the opportunity to wish a Happy New Year to all Gran Turismo fans.

To kick start the year I have some news for those eagerly anticipating all things related to the world of the ‘real driving simulator’.

We can confirm the cover for this year’s must-have title will feature what some motoring journalists are acclaiming as the car of 2010 – the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG.

I don't like it and it doesn't look like what will be the real boxart. What's up with the extremely distorted perspective? Needless to say it's just the boxart and I don't really care.

I'm just glad it's not the shitty Nissan GTR they have been pushing.

Except the Nissan GTR is *bleep*ing sweet.

I say that is some seriously sexy boxart. A lot more alluring than the generic black and white they've been using for the past couple of games.

Bullshit man. Now this is some classy boxart.

Personally I think that lacks a lot of color. But you're not buying this game purely over boxart, are you??

That's why I said it's classy. It's not flashy and it doesn't need to be. Minimalist. Slick.

You just proved my point too, of course you don't buy it based off of the boart, you buy it because it's Gran Turismo. Hence why the style is so devoid of clutter and the logo is always so prominent.

Well I just found something odd; there's an official GT5 poster from a mag featuring an extensive GT5 coverage article. The poster shows there's no red in the vehicle like the one shown above.

But am I not allowed to like this new boxart or something?

If they made the car black like in the poster the cover would be sexy as *bleep*.

Explain. It's just the car and the necessary logos. Odds are high the Sony, Polyphony Digital, and the Pegi boxes will be significantly smaller on the real boxart.

just the way they drew the car, looks sorta cartooney like a Wii racing game. i expected them to have a realistic looking CGI car. not like it matters but we were asked to comment on the box art so i did.

Bit more realism could help it.

I don't really care if the boxart sucks, just as long as the damn game gets released.

I don't give a flying shit about the box cover! You can put Ronald McDonald on the front molesting children with that Nissan GTR in the back, so long as i get the game sooner!!!

I like the box art but if this game is as good as expected, then I'll never see it!
