Heavy Rain official US box art revealed

Amazon has revealed the official Heavy Rain box art for the US. Sporting a Mature rating, Heavy Rain will be released on February 23rd in North America.

With an official release date announced, it was only a matter of time before we saw another Heavy Rain box art surface. Now appearing on Amazon.com, this new box art appears to be the final box art for the title.

    Damn the fact that apparently having people and characters on covers in America leads to more interest in the product. I'm sure Japan and Europe will get a really slick cover with just the title and the little origami bird. That's what it should be. Simple. Intriguing.

    You know what though, in their defense, just an origami bird in a puddle of water with the title Heavy Rain would probably not pique my interest at all if I didn't already know what the game was about.

      Neither would four black and white really odd looking people. The boxart makes it look like a really lame film noire. I always think simplistic boxarts pique interest far more because people become curious. This one just spells out "it has four characters all of which from the illustrations are royally retarded looking". Though I am sure there is atleast one person happy with this piece of shit and thats the designer, I bet he was paid a nice sum for this abomination.

        Apparently you didn't read my first post. I'm with you on the intriguing aspect but you really aren't looking at this from the right perspective. The box art isn't going to make people not buy your game if they know what it is, but a game with a picture of bird origami is not going even stop the gaze of your average joe when he's scanning the game wall.

    Damn, that's a really dull cover. I can see they're going for a film noir look, but it's hardly going to grab people's attention on the shelves.

    Y'know...it probably wouldn't look so bad if they got rid of the weirdly placed characters in the background. Just have Madison (prefferably in a different pose) and the origami on the front.

    As it is now, it just looks like a really bad photoshop edit.
