Whether you think cosplay is the best thing since sliced bread or one of the lamest things a person can do, there's no denying how great it can look when done properly. Kotaku have compiled a batch of the best cosplayers from the biggest cosplay event in Japan: The Cure Cosplay Festival 2.

The attention to detail some of the cosplayers put into their costumes, makeup and hair is amazing.

I wonder if they would have beaten the World Record for the largest gathering of video game characters?

Cure Cosplay Festival 2 is Japan's biggest costume play happening.

The event was held in Yokohama this past weekend. Tickets were ¥1,800 and ¥2,500 (US$19 and $27) for cosplayers and non-cosplayers. More pics in the link below.

    That Tidus is really spot on. Although, I can't tell if it's a muscled dude or a girl with some convincing chest plate thing

      I think it's painted-on muscles on a shirt.

      That Tidus cosplayer is really amazing. With that being said, it made me realize Tidus looks like far more of a douche irl than I thought he would. XD
