inFamous 2 was announced to be on the cover of GameInformer for the month, and now scans have been released. Showing off Cole in a new southern city called New Marias (New Orleans?). As well as cole using metal weapons that have been 'electrified'. But throughout the scans, one can't help but notice the whole new look for cole.

The character model looks a bit better outside of the concept art, still nothing like Cole though. I didn't read too much into the article itself, because I want to keep most of the game a a surprise, but it looks like the beast will a major factor in this game, rather than the third game like I imagined.

How the hell did Cole's hair color change so much? That being said, I think I'll like the new Cole a bit more, though how they're going to make the change have chronological sense is beyond me.

They probably won't even bother. I see this more as a reboot as even though the franchise is new they are changing so many things people didn't like. Instead of it being seen as a true sequel it reminds me more of a software upgrade. Though I don't see this as something that will tarnish the product I mean the Prince of Persia games for example, The Prince's appearance changes dramatically from game to game and people still enjoy it.

Anyone else find it odd, that in a game based off of a dude getting super powers by getting blown up, it's a change of hair color that cause people to question?

I wish they hadn't changed Cole's model and voice to make him look like a douchebag bro.

Also I disagree with the creator's assessment that everything needed to change. Urban guy in the middle of the city with crazy ass parkour and electricity powers is neat; is hangs together in a video gamey way.

Super-powered bro travels to the baiyou to get more powerful? This is where I get off. :/

I suppose no matter how hard you try to make something more approvable, there will always be people who don't like the changes.

Yeah, you're right. I see it as a good thing though. They're trying to take what was good and bad and improve, and the gameplay was always awesome, although the sticky jumping could get pretty annoying.
