The Mario Galaxy Boxart that SHOULD have been ...

With Nintendo adding more wallpapers to the official Super Mario Galaxy site, Kotaku are starting to feel a bit ripped off. They want these wallpapers to feature on the actual boxart. And the newest wallpaper - featuring Mario and almost every other character - has topped the cake.
Sure beats the official boxart, that's for sure ...

Some new wallpapers have turned up on the Japanese Mario Galaxy site. What, you don't care about something as trivial as that? You're right, we're sorry. Nintendo news is, after all, serious business. You probably think this picture is awful, hate both Mario and kittens and most definitely won't be clicking on it for a bigger version.

Kotakuite TaeK was nice enough to actually mock up what the cover would look like using this art. Go on, have a look. We give it two thumbs up. And then some.

      Personally, I like the boxart Nintendo chose. The boxart featured in this article is nice, but it has too much going on.

    The actual boxart is reminiscent of Mario 64, but this one just blows it out of the water.

    The 'new' one looks great, imo.
    And definitely alot more eye-catching than the official boxshot.

    I like this picture MUCH more than the official box art. As GG said, it catches your eye and it isn't plain like the official cover. I rather have this as the cover...

      I actually like that it's basic. This one seem a bit too complicated to me. But it still looks nice.

    well, box art is what usually sells the game (sad as it seems), so this might have boosted sales just a little bit more. but its the actual gameplay that should be the real concern. as long as the game is as good as they can make it. we should be contentful for it. plus, after you put the game in, when do you actually look at the box art anymore? lol

    The one we got is good, but this is certainly better, imo.
