The US PSM magazine has recently given a rundown of the English version of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (soon to be released in March) and they are happy with what they have played so far.

According to the magazine Crisis Core brings back alot of cherished memories from the original FFVII. They were thrilled to learn that simple things such as the Chocobo Farm, Summons, or Aerith's Church were left completely intact, thus giving old FFVII gamers a burst of nostalgia with every new scene they visit. (Something Dirge of Cerberus seemed to be completely lacking). They were also delighted that the Materia System had stayed, while also being upgraded to suit modern gamers.

The English version also features a "Hard" mode for the expert gamer, and more missions than the Japanese version. While the story might take 20 hours to complete, the "side-missions" might take over 60 hours to complete.

    When it comes to these kind of games, I'm usually obliged to complete about all side missions before finishing the game, so this'll be worthwhile for me. ^^

    Best part of this is, I don't need a PSP or the game, just have to wait a month or so to play it, let my brother be done with it then I'll "borrow" it.

    You may want to think about that, else you'll be pulling an FFXII.

    If you try to do a whole bunch of side missions whenever they are accessible, the main game will become very easy.

    But if you only do the main story, the side missions will be very difficult. XD

    I need a PSP! ;__;

    The game does look amazing so hopefully it lives up to the hype. So far, it seems like the magazines are liking the game. That's a good sign.
