God of War 3 coming soon

Don't get too excited about this just yet, but the back cover of the manual for God of War : Chains of Olympus (The PSP God of War game) contains an advertisement for God of War 3. It simply states "Coming Soon"

Shame Sony has a very liberal interpretation of the word "Soon".

Retail copies of God of War: Chains of Olympus on the PSP popped up in the office this morning and brought with them the promise of blood on the PlayStation 3.

God of War III is coming soon.

Just like the Chains of Olympus ad that was on the back of the God of War II instruction manual, the back of the Chains booklet shows the traditional Omega symbol with PS3 written inside of it. The three is quite large, and below it, the ad says "Coming Soon" and "PlayStation 3."

    Well, we knew GOW3 was in the works before, but it's sweet that they're starting to advertise. Though "Soon" for Sony could be 2009. Ah well, whenever it comes, I'll be glad.

    It's alright, I can wait patiently when Kratos graces the PS3 with his appearance once again...just as long as they don't tease too much with that.

    Didn't last time they said "Soon", it was another year before the next GOW release? (I forgot honestly, but I think they did this with Chains of Olympus when GOW2 came out)

    This doesn't burn me much, but I am glad that they've begun the ads. Now I want a freakin trailer.

    But an '09 release date would be great. Nothing sucks more than an awesome/hyped game rushed out just to meet the beckon call of impatient and whiny fans and turns out smelling worse than the shit on my shoe.

    Yeah, I suppose reaver is right.. a rushed GoW 3, or any game for that matter is irritating as hell.
