Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Graphic artist "Pixeloo" has taken it upon himself to "untoon" characters from popular video games, movies and tv shows. Started as a fun side project from his work, his endeavours saw practically immediate popularity.
The blog is essentially a repository for Pixeloo's anonymous design exercises, but the first to catch on was Mario. Rendered with alarmingly large eyes and a scraggly complexion, the untooned rendition had a face to make one rethink the "cute corporate mascot" angle.

STOP LOOKING AT ME!
Also where are you guys seeing the pics? I just checked at the source and there wasn't any pictures at all.
But also through the alt source.
Yep, stuff that looks good, or at least non-freaky in toon form, looks downright creepy rendered in real life >_> Homer looks really 'oro?!?!?!' @_@
I'd like to see this guy do the same thing to anime characters. Both a realistic eyed type (some anime styles have characters with proportionate eye sizes), and oversized eyes.
I like this guy's expertise at Photoshop, and to apply it to something so amusing. A+
