Street Fighter 4 Boxart Revealed

Twisted | September 23, 2008 | Pictures | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
The boxart for Street Fight IV has been revealed by Capcom, it shows a woman at the front, and two people fighting down below. The background is blue, and the name is above.

Hi all - it's been awhile since I've posted...my apologies for that. We've been cranking away on SFIV marketing in preparation for the big launch. One of those items is the package front artwork. Here's a little teaser...

Click on the above image to visit StreetFighter.com to see the full image (as well as see the European version of the pack front - they are actually different).

LMAO! What? You're either being terribly sarcastic or you're not a Street Fighter fan in the least. Anyway, it's an ok cover I guess. I don't really know how I feel about such large emphasis on Chun-Li, and it's kind of plain otherwise. I would have liked to see more emphasis on the Japanese brush strokes used so much in the trailers and in the game itself.

Yeah that was quite an entertaining description, Twisted.

I suppose Chun-Li leads the pack because of the upcoming film? This is a way to help promote her.

I assumed he was being sarcastic. xD It's an okay cover, I guess. I haven't been following Street Fighter really since the early 90's when I had it on PC. Chun-Li is a pretty important figure in Street Fighter AND video game history, but it is weird seeing her as the main focus on that cover instead of Ryu.

And I am not going anywhere near that Chun-Li film.

Haha, sorry man, all I could think of when Chun-Li's such a main focus on the cover. Then there's the timing...exactly when is this game going to be released? And will it coincide with that film's release?

I havent actually Played a Street Fighter game before. Is it just like Tekken?

I've owned every Tekken (except Tag) and I've had just about every Street Fighter, but I've never compared the two. Tekken is more fierce and is more comparable to a real life fight. They're both tactical, but Street Fighter forces you to fight, if that makes sense. In Tekken, you can sometimes get away with button mashing and playing overly defensive, but the lack of "freedom" with movement in Street Fighter limits those tactics. Plus Street Fighter is a legend.

Well said! I remember playing the original Street Fighter back in late uos (or was it early 90s), but it wasn't until Street Fighter 2 that Capcom cemented its place in gaming history, creating (according to many) one of the greatest fighting games ever....

    Great thanks iLLmatic!

Are any of the Street Fighter games on PS1? Because I can then put them on my CFW-PSP then

Street Fighter Alpha 1 and 2 were on PS1. They also released a Street Fighter Collection 1 and 2 at some point with all the originals, but I don't think those are around anymore, though they did just put Alpha 1 on the PS Store recently.

iLLmatic, I have an awesome website which not only has PSP games, but PS1 EBOOTs (psp build models of PS1 games) as well.

If you know how to rip ISO from EBOOT, then you have a PS1 game. I dont think I can advertise a website of such nature on this though.

Best thing is, its all user uploads in a forum environment, and they are safe (in my experience)

    www.pspiso.com

A fantastic forum environment with links to megaupload and rapidshare hosted files. The human-touch added to each of the forum posts is charming and the comments posted about them ensure that they are safe and working well. Its an excellent community and I urge you to join. For everything PSP, I suggest using it.

I really hope this game will also be on the Wii. It would be an insult otherwise as Nintendo did originally have it first on their consoles.
