First glimpse of Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li in Street Fighter movie ?

Gothic Girl | May 22, 2008 | Pictures | Misc
Capcom have released the first-ever photo of Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li in the movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
Gone is the traditional blue outfit and giant thighs of steel. This isn't the Chun-Li fans are used to seeing...
Capcom of Japan released the above photo today from the in-production Street Fighter movie, giving us what appears to be our first, heavily artifacted glimpse of Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. It's not the traditional blue outfit we're used to seeing Chun-Li sporting, but she has to put that thing in the wash sometime. Of course, Capcom may simply have a cache of photos of Kreuk looking dirty and disheveled for times like this, so consider this unconfirmed until we get confirmation from Capcom.

Yeah, it is kinda 'generic'....She just looks dirty....If nobody can recall any video when she looked like that, one could call it 'quite possible', but meh...

Would be more believable (not to say it ISN'T true) if she was wearing the 'traditional' Chun-Li garb....

QUESTION! A cookie to anybody who can identify the necklace she is wearing? It MIGHT provide some sort of clue....

I said it once i'll say it again, she isn't fit to play Chun Li and thats goes for the majority of the cast. The only one so far thats fits any role is the balrog role.

This movie will suck more than the first movie in 96.

Final, do you ever have reasons or do you just blurt out things like they're facts all the time?

Im sorry but where in my post did I come off making things as fact? Oh you mean Kristian Kruek not fitting the role of Chun Li and most of the cast, well its true. Can you honestly say Chris Klein is good to play Charlie?

Or the majority of the cast? Again Im a huge fan of Street Fighter been since the first one came out, and I can honestly say they don't fit the role. Its all about the right actors and looks. Why the hell did SF the movie in 96 didn't do so well? Guarantee you it was because some wasn't good for the roles.

Why do you think most Comics to movies, or Game to movies don't work? Cause of the cast.
Granted Iron man was alright, better than the others, but that still doesn't mean its perfect. The new Hulk movie looks outstanding I can definitely picture Edward Norton being the Hulk.

News flash, dummy, although there are 6 billion people in the world, you won't find the "right" ones for casts. It's not about who the hell looks like who, we can't get an exact match for a live-action. I think Kreuk is fit for this role, she does kick-boxing and such, is of Chinese descent...

Huge fan since the first one came out? Rofl! The first one, honestly, was terrible. I became a fan from the second game, the much better, much worked on one.

Look-alikes mean shit in the movie business, because RARELY (.1%) will you find an extremely close match. Maguire didn't look like Parker, it worked anyway. Raul Julia didn't look like Bison, it worked anyway.

And no, it's not because of the cast that movies like those do not work...it's really how they go about the film. The cast is one thing, the plot, setting, etc., is another.

Haha the '96 movie was a load of shit, but at the same time legendary. Loved watching that as a kid.

Liking the different direction they're taking with the characters, might just work.
