A brand new week, and we're back to what seems to be the defacto norm, two WiiWare games and one Virtual Console game, at the very least until the releases pent up from launch have run dry.
The first WiiWare game is Block Breaker Deluxe, developed by Gameloft, and is the company's second WiiWare game, after TV Show King. It's really nothing more than a modernized brick-breaking game, with a stylized graphical style. The game supports up to two players.
The second WiiWare game is Cocoto Fishing Master, developed by Neko Entertainment. The premise of the game is to take control of the titular character, Cocoto, as he travels the world to find the five millenial fish to prevent the world from being destroyed. The game uses both the Wiimote and Nunchuk to emulate a fishing rod.
The lone Virtual Console game is SNK's Samurai Shodown, the first game of the series of the same name. Samurai Shodown doesn't feature a super meter; instead, there is a power bar that gradually fills as players deal and take damage, and as that goes up, the character's strength increases. The series is regarded as one of the top fighting game series.
As always, games go live Noon EST, 9 AM PST. Keep track of the latest VC releases with the 2008 edition of What's New on VC? in the Wii Virtual Console forum.
