Asda Story MMORPG dated for U.S.

chautemoc | June 24, 2008 | Press Release | PC
Online game publisher Gamescampus.com announced today a deal with MaxOn Soft Corporation to launch Asda Story, an MMORPG for PC in the U.S. market. We'll see the game later in the fall.

Asda Story is described as a free 'exciting fantasy-style anime 3D MMORPG.' It features a unique party system called the 'Soul Mate System' which allows players to align and wear unique costumes and learn special skills. As well, the 'Real Costume System' offers extensive customization options, for all the customization freaks out there (myself being one of them).

Asda Story has been successful in Korea and Japan, so perhaps it'll do well in North America too.
In addition to the unique systems, Asda Story contains several key features that also make it stand apart from other MMORPG's:

- Various interwoven community systems lead to a great degree of player interaction that increase in complexity and number from Soulmate to Party to Clan to Camp.
- Unique Sowel items make costume play possible and allow for maximum customization and playability of items and armor
- Huge amount of game content with unique whimsical graphical style that includes instanced dungeons, vast maps and an incredible number of different armor sets and weapons.

"We look forward to building upon Asda Story's popularity in Korea and Japan, to deliver a successful launch in the United States," said Jenny Shin, CEO of MaxOn Soft Corporation. "We are extremely pleased to have Gamescampus.com as our partner in establishing Asda Story as a leading MMORPG with North American gamers."

Are you sure this isn't a supermarket simulator or something?

huh? I don't get this piece of news. Asda Story has been available in North America for quite some time, now. The way these articles are talking it's like it was never available in North America just yet. Does that mean they're going to start charging for the game be it a monthly fee or will you be able to purchase it in stores?
