It's another Monday, and three more games get added to the North American Wii Shop Channel, in the form of one hotly anticipated WiiWare and a cool duo of TurboGrafx imports, one of which is a highly acclaimed shoot-em-up.
The WiiWare title today is Telltale Games's Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Episode 1: Homestar Ruiner, as was announced by the developer last week. The game stars Strong Bad, of Homestar Runner fame, in a point-and-click adventure that has the star trying to remove an unwanted guest from his home and return his life back to normal. The game will also feature extra minigames, along with in-game collectibles and achievements for those who need to have that 100%. A Wii-specific feature is that players can use the in-game camera to take and send pictures to their friends.
The first Virtual Console game is an import for the TurboGrafx: Break In, developed by naxat soft. A billiards sim, play your way in six different game types and three different modes to calculate the best shot and improve your virtual pool skills.
The other Virtual Console game is Star Parodier, another import for the TurboGrafx. A cute-em-up parody of Hudson's Star Soldier series, in the same way Konami's Parodius was of its Gladius series, players can take control of three different ships: the Paroceaser, a parodized Ceaser, a giant Bomberman, and a giant PC Engine. Featuring classic Star Soldier gameplay with bright, spoofy visuals, the game is sure to be a treat and is one that can be a must-have.
