That is what I find more of a problem than the so called problems and 18+ rating would make. The fact that 15 year olds are able to play games that should be limited to 18 year olds (GTA being one of them) all because our stupid government won't allow an 18+ rating.
Just look at Manhunt. That game should have NEVER been given a 15+ rating.
That is one of the reasons I think our government is moronic. They say they want to protect the children.I feel that no 18+ rating is harming children more than having an 18+ rating by allowing children (yes 15 year olds are still children) play games they shouldn't be playing in the first place.
Religious and 'do-gooder' movements are often very misinformed about various things that they say they actually stand for. They will often NOT listen to discussion about it, and will use their political powers (and believe me, they have them) to sway various politicians to making choices that suit the right wing groups, rather than what is the "right" thing to do.
One only has to listen to som eof the comments that they come out with, making statements that you and I know are completely wrong, and often even made up, but they have the sway to make their comments have weight and will use it to get what they want. It basically comes down to being a power trip than anything else. Just look at our best friend Jack Thompson. Almost ever word that came out of his mouth was wrong, but he had the "power' to sway so many into believing he was actually right.
