Tool are a band renowned for their extensive talent, spiritual messages, and dabblings in the occult. Honestly, I can't really describe the group without trivializing the music, so just listen if you are curious/have no idea what I am saying.

Anyhow, they're contributing three tracks to the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour game, those being "Parabola", "Schism" (both from the masterful 2001 album Lateralus), and "Vicarious" from 2006's 10,000 Days record. If you were expecting a little more to come from a band like Tool, well, your instincts were on, as they're also set to co-design an all-new venue for the title which will be in keeping with the art the band has employed with their music over the years.

Guitar Hero: World Tour releases October 26 in North America and November 12 in Australia.

I'm seriously starting to think that the playlist that was supposedly "leaked" is actually correct. Activision said that it was fake, but the more they say what songs are coming out, the more it sounds like the leaked playlist was real. If it isn't exact, then it's at least very close. The leaked one showed three Tool songs on it, and now it's confirmed that there are three Tool songs. Plus, there's a bunch of other songs on the leaked playlist that were confirmed before.

It is correct buddy, you can't deny it!

In all seriousness, before we got any news about World Tour, Tool would have been one of THE LAST bands I would expected in the game.

Still wish one of the songs was Lateralus though, but at least we got Schism.

I'm actually genuinly scared about the Tool stage though...

...I can see it being a really demented place with lots of eyes staring at you *shudders*
