Sucks that they couldn't get like Gibson or ESP in there. Fender and all the other companies they own all have plain looking guitars. Fender themselves only have the Strat and the Tele, Gretsch is mostly Les Paul-looking stuff. Squier basically just has cheaper versions of the Strat and Tele. Charvel and SWR, I'm not really sure about. The only exception is Jackson (whom I love, my guitar is a Jackson DXMG). Jackson has some interesting shapes, like the King V, the Randy Rhoads V, the Kelly (looks like an Explorer), and the Warrior.

I think Ibanez would have been a good choice as well. They have a lot of different designs.

Isn't Gibson trying to sue Guitar Hero? It doesn't surprise me that they didn't go after them.

Most of their stuff is just edgier-looking strat-shaped guitars. They do have a couple of other cool designs though. Gibson were the ones to originally have all the cool designs though, and they don't take too kindly to people using them. So they're like the prime company to get to comply really.
