Atlus has lifted the veil on some of the main things we should expect from Persona 4, and it's all right here. The Sci-Fi RPG is made and published by the company, and will be out December 9.

Also, if you're keen on the game, we've just uploaded a few screenshots for your perusal.

• Balance your double life – Beyond intense battles, Persona fusion, and new weapon creation exists a normal high school life of friends, classes, and part-time jobs. The way you manage and integrate your activities within each day will determine how you progress through the game.

• Unprecedented team control – With a greater emphasis on developing bonds in the fight to solve the mysterious murders, strong friendships are key to your success. Directly control teammates in battle, earn greater party support for combat, and master individual Social Links to unlock your party's true potential.

• Find the true ending – 60+ hours of gameplay thrusts you into a deep mystery where midnight television leads to serial killings. You must investigate murders, rescue those who can be rescued, and unmask the culprit behind it all—or risk being forever shrouded in the fog of doubt.

WOOT Persona 3 (and the rerelease) rocked , always been a Shin Megami Tensei (MegaTen) fan (the mature and dark counterpart to final fantasy)... but Personal 3 totally rocked me and sucked away all my gaming time... Good stuff, I hope 4 is as good if not better than 3 was... so far, the features sound awesome, far more control, freedom and customization.

I'm just not into the whole romance sim aspect of Persona 3, so I'm thinking Persona 4 would be on about the same level. Graphics are coolin P3, and I dig the sound track but I will most likely have to pass on this one.

Love it how you described it as romance sim aspect... lol, good point. Micromanaging friendships is something I have limited patience for (which is why I am done with The Sims) - though I'll admit, I did get all worked up about securing friendships in Persona 3.
