Feral Interactive, the same folks that brought Fable: The Lost Chapters to the Mac in March, have announced they're doing the same for Black & White 2, another Lionhead creation. The Battle of the Gods expansion pack is included.
The game will be arriving January 6. Good news, though with gaps that big, it's just as well to use BootCamp and play games on Windows, innit?
Created by Lionhead Studios and designers Peter Molyneux and Ron Millar, in Black & White 2 players reprise the role of a young god in search of followers and return to the once innocent world of Eden. However, times have moved on - weapons have been invented and humans have harnessed the forces of nature to terrible effect. Eden is in turmoil and the young God has been called back to save his people.
In addition, The Battle of the Gods expansion pack is included offering players a host of new challenges including the threat of a rival God.
"Black & White has achieved a phenomenal and long-lasting popularity on the Mac. We are confident that Black & White 2 will continue that success. said Feral Interactives David Stephen.
The game will retail in North America for US $49.95, £29.95 (inc VAT) in the UK and 39.95 (inc VAT) throughout Europe. It is currently available to pre-order from Feral's online store (http://www.feralinteractive.com/?section=buy&language=english).
Minimum system requirements call for a 1.8GHz Intel Mac only, 512MB RAM, 128MB graphics card, DVD drive, 5.1 GB of hard disk space and Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later. The game does not support Intel GMA processors, but does run on Apples latest Macbook laptops equipped with GeForce 9400 M graphics cards.
