It's the last Monday of 2008, and Nintendo is ending the year with a bang: three new games are being added to the North American Wii Shop Channel today, in the form of two WiiWare games and one Virtual Console game.

The first WiiWare title is Maboshi's Arcade, published by Nintendo and developed by Mindware Corp. This game is composed of three minigames, however, the catch is that they are all played simultaneously on the same screen. For up to three players, each player or the A.I. can control one of these games. The catch is that whatever happens in one game can and will affect what happens in each of the other games. While the goal is to get a high score, you can aid each other in obtaining the high score by using your game to help them along in the other games. This has already been released in Europe and Japan, and has received some good reviews.

The other WiiWare title is Cue Sports - Pool Revolution by Hudson Entertainment. It is a billiards game, where up to four players can rack it up to play four different game types: 9 Ball, 8 Ball, Rotation, and Snooker, or shoot some trick shots in Puzzle Mode. You can also go online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to play against your friends or others across the world. Two control types are available, one with motion and the other without.

The lone Virtual Console game this week is Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II for the NES. The sequel to the Zelda-alike StarTropics from Nintendo, players must take control of protagonist Mike Jones once again to battle the evil Zoda to save the Argonian people. In this journey, Mike will travel through time and explore the world.
