In a press release and an email today sent out to its Atlus Faithful mailing list, Atlus USA has announced that they will be releasing a localized version of Megami Ibunroku Devil Survivor, titled for domestic release as Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. The government has quarantined Tokyo on the heels of a surprise demon invasion, leaving the city's population to fend for themselves. Devices known as COMPs come into yours and others' possessions, giving the holders powers to tame and control demons. The game provides its own take on the game's typical RPG gameplay, providing a SRPG/RPG hybrid where you have to divide your units into groups, and go into a first-person turn-based system to settle conflicts between allied and enemy groups.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is set to release on June 23rd with a MSRP of $29.99. You can check out the game's official site here.
