It's another Monday, and another two games will be added to the North American Wii Shop Channel today. One WiiWare game and one Virtual Console game are being added to the service. Nintendo is also teasing an upcoming new surprise, which many suspect will be the release of Commodore 64 games on the North American Virtual Console.

The WiiWare game this week is Evasive Space from the Yukes Company of America. Use the Wii Remote's pointer to maneuver Konki the Stellar Guardian as he rescues the Constellation Stones that make up the stars from Dr. Dark Matter and his band of space thieves. Through 20 different missions, you must avoid various and numerous hazards on your way to recovering the stones, before the starry sky is lost forever.

The Virtual Console game today is Life Force, for the NES. Titled Salamander in Japan, it is a spinoff of the shoot-em-up Gradius. This North American version of Salamander features Gradius' power-up bar, but without the game's multiple endings. A friend can join in on the action to help you save the planet.

  • WW: Evasive Space, Yukes Company of America, 1-4 Players, 1000 Points
  • NES: Life Force, 1-2 Players, 500 Points
