It is the first Monday in March, and two games were added to the North American Wii Shop Channel today, in the form of one WiiWare game, and one Virtual Console game.
The WiiWare title is Family & Friends Party from Gammick Entertainment. It is an interactive board game title for up to eight players, where the goal is to be the first player to complete a series of challenges. There are two type of challenges, "Single" cooperative challenges and "Versus" competitive challenges.
The Virtual Console title this week is the Yasumi Matsuno-created Square Enix SNES title Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen. Featuring a mix of real time strategy and role playing gameplay types, Ogre Battle has been one of those time-honored games from the golden 16-bit era.
Recap:
As always, games go live at Noon EST, 9AM PST. Keep track of the latest Virtual Console and WiiWare releases with the all-new 2009 edition of What's New on the Wii Shop Channel? in the Wii Virtual Console forum.
