Electronic Theatre delivers confirmation of a worldwide launch for King of Fighters XII - the first in the long-lived franchise to arrive on the current generation.

Ignition Entertainment Ltd., a UTV Enterprise, a worldwide publisher and developer of videogames and SNK Playmore announced today that The King of Fighters XII is releasing worldwide in July 2009 on the PLAYSTATION3 and the Xbox360.

    Yay! Been following it's versions on the PS2, but glad to see that KoF is finally hitting next-gen consoles. Got to brush up on Terry, Kyo, and Mai in the coming months.

      If you mean in 3D then no it won't be be like SFIV.The number games are always 2D.The Maximum Impact series is in 3D and is a spinoff from the original series..

        No, i meant in the aspect of Online and other modes such as challenge mode to keep you playing the game.

        SFIV would be brilliant even without it being in 3D.

    Agree with Storm. Seeing KoF go multiplatform on current gen consoles is really great for any long-time fan. Hope Maximum Impact 3 will be on 360 and PS3 as well... soon, too, because that alien business is pretty WTH.
