Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles & GameCube Remakes Confirmed for Europe

Electronic Theatre detail the confirmation of European releases for both Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and the Resident Evil Classics GameCube remakes.

Capcom today announced its plans for a big comeback of its multi-million-selling franchise, Resident Evil to the Wii. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, the sequel to the highly successful Wii title Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, is in development exclusively for the Wii and is set for release across PAL territories this winter. Capcom also introduced its plans for a new Resident Evil “Classics” line, which will bring the critically acclaimed Nintendo GameCube classics, Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero exclusively to the Wii, allowing a whole new audience to experience the world of Resident Evil.

    Oh My God Claire looks awesome!
    Though she needs just a bit more feminine touches around her face.

    As for the GC remakes coming out in europe.....well now finally Europe is getting all the attention but that doesn't mean to ignore America!! Get it together Capcom!

    This is pretty stupid.

    A brand new rail shooter....and some feckin remakes which were on the GAMECUBE ; ;

    It's like if Microsoft decided to remake Halo for the 360 ; ; Pathetic.

      What are you talking about? THIS IS SWEET! Re-making the old franchise can adapt the new fans to the old game's style, perhaps even bringing the series back to it's horror survival root. I don't mind the Action genre, but let that be a side-genre to what RE really is.

      Wii gets more acclaimed titles, remake or not, sequel or not, it's still good news.

    Are you sure those were remakes, or just ports? There's a difference.

    And you're asking about remakes? This is Capcom, FFF, the guys who remade SFII like a billion times. Even recently SFII has been remade, because it's just that good.

      well it's pretty much a guarantee that code:veronica will be in it, I mean it is an old RE game that has yet to been remade like RE2 and has one of the best stories in the series.

      Other than that it'll look like there gonna make new scenarios to reveal more about this "new enemy" and theres a chance that Degeneration might squeeze it's way in.

      so yeah....there's alot they could add =/
