PC gamers are in for a real treat this week: digital distribution site Good Old Games (GOG.com) has announced the signing of yet another new publisher, which means a boatload of new games are on their way, with a few already here.
Topware Interactive is the company in question, bringing their RTS Earth 21xx series to the shop -- $12 for two trilogies?! There's also the rad looking historical point-and-click Jack Orlando, who is a private investigator. I'm much more an RPG guy myself, however, and the other two titles, Gorky 17 (aka Odi-um) and the JRPG-inspired Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator, look very cool, especially that last one, which seems reminiscent of the wonderful Xenosaga series.
DRM-free, additional goodies galore, XP/Vista (and W7 so far) compatible, $6 each..get on over!
It's a great pleasure to welcome TopWare Interactive to GOG.com, supporting our user-friendly and DRM-free distribution platform, said Adam Oldakowski, Managing Director of GOG.com. Thanks to the addition of titles like the Earth series or Septerra Core, I'm sure we'll make a lot of Good Old Games fans happy.
We like the idea of GOG very much and will support this great marketplace with our titles in the future, said Dirk Hassinger, Board Chairman of Zuxxez Entertainment AG.
