Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement of a pen-and-paper spin-off RPG for BioWare's forthcoming Dragon Age: Origins, due on PS3, 360 and PC this autumn.

BioWare has today announced that Green Ronin Publishing will launch a pen and paper Role-Playing Game (RPG) based on the highly anticipated videogame, Dragon Age: Origins. The pen and paper game extends the Dragon Age universe, making it more accessible to passionate RPG fans looking for another way to experience the epic fantasy world of Thedas.

    Down, Bioware, down! You will just end up crushed under the weight of the many 4th edition D and D volumes. Look out for Player's Handbook Volume 2!!!

    Sorry about that, but seriously, the other way works out pretty well. Video games made from paper and pencil mechanics work. Reversing that, on the other hand, may not. I would stick to video games. And get that D and D license back so I can play a video game using 4th edition rules!!!!
