Obscure is a solid horror series many may not know, but should probably get acquainted with (while we're here, the first game can be had soon for $10 on GOG).

The first game was developed by Hydravision Entertainment, who also did Alone in the Dark on Wii/PS2, and this second title, subtitled The Aftermath, was worked on by Playlogic, known for their work on..well, a bunch of stuff we've never heard of.

Released last year for multiple platforms, they announce today PSP owners will now have a chance to get in on the horror and also add another solid title to the lacking library (no offense). Expect it in September with new features to boot.

More about the Obscure series can be found via the game's profile link below.

Playlogic Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq OTC: PLGC.OB), an independent worldwide publisher of entertainment software, announced today that the heart-pumping, thrill-seeking teen horror title Obscure: The Aftermath is coming to the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and will be available in North American retail stores in September. The title is already available for the Wii™ system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Windows PC under the same name.

“We received a tremendous amount of feedback from fans wanting us to bring the gruesome gore of Obscure 2 to a handheld console,” said Rogier Smit, executive vice president of Playlogic. “Our talented teams have since crafted the game to fit the unique co-op capabilities and controls of the PSP while also keeping the exciting gameplay and detailed graphics featured in the console versions intact.”
