Those wonderful folks at XSEED Games are doing more good work: it's announced today they'll be bringing Ragnarok Online DS to the west come this winter.

The portable version of the game is based upon the PC version, and adds a standalone mission featuring Ares, an orphan turned adventurer, and Sierra, a girl who has lost her memories. Naturally, you'll decide the fate of the world.

Note GungHo is the developer of the game, who also are working on that PSP Lunar remake. XSEED recently stated they'll be picking up a PSP remake, so it looks likely we'll see this one in Americaland.

”We could not be more pleased to be involved in bringing such a well-known and beloved series on the PC to a handheld platform,” said Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games. “Ragnarok Online DS stays true to the original while adding elements to optimize the experience on the Nintendo DS.”
