Koei recently announced that their DYNASTY WARRIORS 6 spin-off, DYNASTY WARRIORS 6: Empires (which many fans have probably been waiting for) will be headed to North America next month. Retailers will be selling the game on June 23 and are now taking pre-orders.

On top of the usual Empires shenanigans, you'll be able to customize your own warrior now, choosing from a wide range of edit options, ensuring he (or she) turns out just the way you like.

Play as an officer or lord and take your empire to victory by enacting policies, carrying out mission objectives, pruning your armies -- yadda yadda.

No online play still (damnit, KOEI!) but the game does support up to 2 players, offline.

Too bad Dynasty Warriors 6 sucked horribly.

Dynasty Warriors 6 was alright. I didn't like some of the changes they did like not giving certain characters Mousu Modes and changing the weapons of so many people.

The cardinal sin was taking Ma Chao's mounted charge away. That was the best move in the game series and they totally ruined it.

What I hate is that the moves arent cool to pull off anymore. Square just does combos infinitely, but its basically the same 3 hits over and over, and the triangle button is always the same attack instead changing depending on the combo.

        It was really dissapointing.
