Square Enix Announces E3 2009 Lineup

Square Enix has announced their E3 2009 lineup, touting its new direction as a global entertainment company, which is as follows:

  • [PSP] Dissidia Final Fantasy
  • [PS3/360] Final Fantasy XIII
  • [WII] Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
  • [360/PS3/PC] Front Mission Evolved
  • [NDS] Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
  • [PS3/360] Nier
  • [PC] Order of War
  • [PC] Supreme Commander 2
  • [WW] Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
  • [WW] Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord

The 2009 Electronics Entertainment Expo begins next week on June 2nd.

Highlighting the steps it has taken to become a more global entertainment company, Square Enix will not only feature games developed in partnership with U.S. and European developers such as FRONT MISSION EVOLVED™, ORDER OF WAR™ and SUPREME COMMANDER® 2 at their booth; but continues to offer the highest-quality experiences across all platforms, with highly anticipated new games such as DISSIDIA™ FINAL FANTASY® and FINAL FANTASY XIII, in addition to the next installment in the beloved KINGDOM HEARTS franchise, KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days.

    PR also says that summons in FFXIII are called Eidolons.

    FINAL FANTASY IX

    Other than that, bring on KH and FF, but meh-meh on the whole shooter/strategy direction.

    The only 2 I was all that interested in are a no show, Versus and Birth by Sleep. Guess ill have to wait til 2010

    Square Enix has made so many good games. My favorite one is Final Fantasy XII. Now that i think about it. I'm a Square Enix fan. Bravo for the people in it. I hope they make more games that's kinda like Final fantasy XII.

    Though I've already finished the game and put in like 50 hours into it, I still don't even know the story.

    Final Fantasy XIII. I'll definitely buy that game. And I'm so excited right now. But I also agree with Gothic Girl about "Some good news about Final Fantasy XIII. I wanna see if it's going to be good as they say.

    I was personally wanting to hear about Rapture. I'm still holding on to the hope that we'll see those three "surprise" titles.
